On October 27, 2007 UCAP hosted its annual conference on Protecting Children and Families Against Pornography and Other Harmful Material. The conference was held at the South Town Expo Center in Sandy, Utah, from 8am to 12 noon. Tickets were $20 and granted access to the opening remarks and keynote speaker, nine break-out sessions presented by therapists, religious leaders, and community advocates, and a question and answer session.
To counter the unhealthy issues of sexuality created by elements in our society, parents and leaders of youth must convey and model a positive message. This workshop will present ways of creating an open environment in the home where these sensitive issues can be addressed. We will discuss presenting "age appropriate" concepts to our youth and the importance of understanding our teen's sexual challenges and specific tools to help them deal with them.
